teachly.lk

Your profile is where a parent meets you before you meet them. It does not need to be long. It needs to answer the questions a parent is quietly asking: can you teach my child this subject, at this level, where we are — and can I trust you?

A headline that says what you teach

Your headline appears on every search result. Make it specific: the subject, the level and something true about how you teach. “A/L Physics that makes the theory click” tells a parent more than “Experienced and dedicated teacher”.

A bio in your own voice

  • Say who you teach best — the level, the kind of student, the syllabus.
  • Say how a class with you runs, in two or three sentences.
  • Mention your experience in plain terms, and leave out claims you could not show.
  • Write the way you speak to a parent. Warm and clear beats formal and vague.

Subjects, levels and fees that match reality

Requests are sent only to teachers whose subjects, levels, areas and way of teaching match. So list precisely what you teach: every subject, the levels you are genuinely comfortable with, the syllabuses, how you teach it, and a fee with its unit — per hour, per class, per month or per course. Too broad, and you receive requests you cannot take; too narrow, and you miss the ones you could.

Areas you can really reach

Choose the areas you can travel to week after week, not once. If you teach online, say so — it opens you to requests from further away.

Let verification speak for you

  1. 1Identity checkEvery teacher is checked by a person before their profile appears.
  2. 2Qualification badgeUpload your certificates. Once we have seen them, your profile carries a qualification badge — documents themselves are never shown publicly.
  3. 3Badges you earnReplying quickly earns a response badge, and Teachly Recommended is earned from reviews and response behaviour. Neither can be bought.
