Where to find past papers

Ask your school or your teacher which past papers match the syllabus you are following, and use official papers and marking schemes where you can get them.

The routine

  1. 1Topic questions firstAfter revising a topic, do past questions on just that topic, with notes closed.
  2. 2Mark honestlyUse the marking scheme where you have it. Half-right is not right — note exactly what was missing.
  3. 3Keep a mistakes listFor every error, write the topic, what went wrong and the correct method. This list becomes your revision in the final weeks.
  4. 4Full papers, timedCloser to the exam, sit whole papers against the clock, in one go, somewhere quiet.
  5. 5Review the paper, not just the scoreWhere did time run out? Which questions did you misread? Fix the pattern, not only the answer.
